I hadn't seen the weather forecast last night so had no idea what the forecast was. It rained all night with strong winds and then it rained all day with even stronger winds. I saw that we had the end of the cyclone that hit the Solomon Islands but it hit us harder than they thought. Lots of slips, roads closed, trees down and power outs.
We went to see the consultant for the last time this morning. He didn't check Jon's wound as we thought he might, just thought the nurses would sort it and me on Saturday. He gave us a summary of what has happened and we will take that with us and pack the main notes in the container as they are heavy!.
Jon dropped me home and then went out to a meeting and eventually came back with a coffee for me.
I spent the day sorting out things to pack. Still finding so much to do. We stopped for lunch and then got back to it.
I decided to use up some of my baking ingredients and mad a sponge cake for tea. The sun actually broke through at about 3.00 which was very nice.
I managed to get down to the store room downstairs which is like a shed, and bring all the tools and things up to the garage. I also flattened all the boxes we brought out with us as the removal company will dispose of them for us. I cleaned the room and only found ONE cockroach which I put out into the garden.
Jon was sorting out paperwork what is to go with us and what is to go in the container.
We did manage to confirm, with all the girls and boys, our trip to Windsor at the end of May so that is something to look forward to.
I sorted clothes and managed to get one suitcase packed - five to go!!
I cooked dinner tonight which was a chicken breast, some streaky bacon both from the freezer and I made a sort of paella which was very tasty.
I watched some TV and that is it. So tired now I need to go to bed!
WEATHER
End of a tropical cyclone, rain, wind sunshine!! 21 degrees
