Thursday

After a lot of heavy rain overnight I woke to more of the same so my planned walk with my friend was a non starter. I rang Joan and we arranged to meet for a coffee and chat.

I did a few things around the house and as I could not hang out my washing and had no dryer I had to put it in the spare room on the maiden. The people who are coming to view the house will have to excuse the laundry!!

I left to meet Joan and although it was not raining you could hear thunder and it was quite humid.

I arrived at the café and was treated to coffee and Joan and I sat talking until nearly 1.00. I will really miss the ladies I have met here and everyday I realise how lucky I am to have made such good friends here and I will miss them so much.

I then made a quick dash to the supermarket as I realised there was no bread at home for Jon's lunch and he would be waiting for me to come home!!

He was not chewing on a dog stick when I got back but he was ready for his lunch.

Jon left for a Pilates class at 3.00 and I did a bit more window cleaning - never ending job!

I made sure the house was tidy for the viewing and then left to go and have tea with Alison. We had a nice chat and she gave me a lovely block photo of the Mount. I think we are going to need so much wall space back in UK.

I got back and cooked our dinner and then did some knitting while watching TV. We are slowly getting through the recorded list but no way will we have time to view it all.

My last day at Red Cross tomorrow. This is all so hard :-(
