Lots of overnight rain but what can you do.
I took Totty's crate up to the bedroom last night and she slept in it all night!! I hope she is as happy to go in it on 23 April.
It was a bit overcast this morning but it was warm and dry.
We went down to the Mount and had breakfast, which was very nice, and then went to buy bread. It is very hard buying food when you are not sure how many people will actually turn up.
We got back and I did all the preparations indoors and Jon did all the outdoors stuff and by 2.00 we were ready and waiting but nobody arrived till about 2.30. That is a horrible feeling.
Then everyone came in thick and fast and then I didn't draw breath. Jon was busy cooking and the afternoon just flew by. It was lovely to see so many of our friends here all together. Our first neighbours came with their three children who are now so grown up and they made us three lovely cards. Unfortunately, I didn't get time to take photos of everyone as I had planned which is a real shame.
All the food, far too much, went down well and everyone had a good time. We got some lovely presents, too.
My friend, Ros, had been over to Cambridge to see the Duke and Duchess this morning and she said it was very crowded but she was glad she went.
Soon people started to leave and then just a small group left and we chatted.
Once everyone had gone we got stuck in and tidied everything up and then sat down with a glass of wine and a bite to eat.
I still have so much food left to eat up we will need to have another bbq!
We are both very tired now so off to bed. I wonder where Totty will want to sleep tonight. She is very tired as she has been a busy girl today with lots going on and lots of food for her to eat!!
