Monday

Oh dear! Another day of trying to get washing dried when it is raining outdoors!!

Ever had so much to do you can't think straight? That is me right now.

I had to go into Tauranga to buy a few things I need to take home and also a birthday present for a friend here a couple of days after we leave.

I managed to get all I need and then had a coffee before heading home.

I did intend to take my washing to the laundry to dry it but managed to get it all on the maiden in the spare bedroom and with the window open hopefully it will dry.

I made lunch and then started clearing things out. I had to sort out all the toiletries that I want to take with me and all the ones to be packed and it took forever.

The district nurse came to dress Jon wound and it will need to be done again on Saturday and she asked me if I could do it. She told me what and how to do it and left me all the stuff including some gloves. Hopefully, it will be changed again on Thursday when we go to see the consultant which has been changed from 11.15 to 9.30 making it difficult for Jon as he had arranged a meeting for 9.00 so he will need to sort something out.

I told Jon to call the secretary at the hospital and ask about his notes as I can't do it for him. The secretary put him in touch with Medical Records who say, once he has filled in a form, it will take 21 days!!! He spoke to the secretary again to ask for a summary from Mark to take with us and the hospital will have to post the notes on. He went to the hospital and completed the form and also picked up his medical records from the doctor's surgery on the way back so at least we have something for when we get back.

I spent a long time on the computer when Jon was out sorting out paperwork for Totty which needed to be completed and then emailed back to the agent in UK.

I also booked our tickets for Alcatraz and had a reply from the hotel in SF about some other trips.

I had an email from the taxi company to say that they do have a big car and can pick us up from the airport so I think that is pretty much it for that side of things.

I had to get some thank you cards written to take to my keep fit class tomorrow and I made some peanut butter cookies tonight for the class in the morning. They have to be healthy or the teacher won't like it!!

I made two small pizza for dinner this evening which was a nice change. I am out for lunch tomorrow and Jon is out for dinner on Wednesday.

I have sorted out things to eat from the freezer and the cupboard and I have a lot of baking things left but I will give them to one of the ladies from Lions and she can do some baking for the ladies afternoon teas when they start at the book rooms again.

Very tired tonight so off for an early night and no playing Pet Rescue Saga once I am in bed!!
