It was a bright star to the day and after breakfast we decided to try for our last walk up the Mount.
We went to drop off some things to Sharon and Des and Margaret on our way. Des was very happy with the GPS we gave him.
We drove down and of course had to have a coffee before we started. I was surprised how busy it was. Usually, we are away for Easter and have missed all this! I think we have made the right choice in the past.
We set off up the Mount and the first bit is always hard but once over that and a few stops to admire the views we were soon at the top.
We were so lucky with the weather as it was clear and sunny but you could see the heavy clouds heading our way.
We saw two para gliders at the top, we had stopped them to ask if they could take a photo of us when we were half way up. They had made it, with their gliders, much quicker than us! One was already in the air and the other just about to go. It is fascinating to watch them take off and land in such a small, sloping space. I thought once they were up they just floated around till they were fed up and then landed on the beach.
We met a guy who Jon used to work with and had a chat and it was good to see him.
Going down was easier and much quicker and I took lots of photos. Well done to Jon for doing it again. There was a time when we thought he never would.
We went for lunch at one of the cafés and it was just clouding over.
After a lovely lunch of seafood chowder we went for a nice cream and walked back to the car just as it started to rain.
We got back and my friend Carol had collected the trough and a few other bits I had left in the porch, we are getting there, slowly.
Bronwyn called round to see us for a chat and then I sorted photos out on the computer and Facebook.
I am trying to upload photos to Picasa to back them up but it has taken all night to upload 302 photos. It never used to take this long. Because of this it is a short blog typed on my iPad.
Off to bed now.
