Thursday

I was only up once in the night with Totty but she was so long out in the garden I was about to get my dressing gown on and get the torch to go and look for her when she came back. She then slept for the rest of the night.

She was still not right this morning and so I called the vet and they told me to come in at 8.45. The vet, John, examined her and took her temperature but found nothing. He gave her an anti-inflammatory injection and an antibiotic injection and some medication for me to give her tonight and we came home.

She just does not want to lie down and just wanders around and appears to have lost her bark as no barking at the binmen this morning just a whimper.

We left to go to the hospital for Jon and arrived early and waited. We eventually went in and waited a bit more, 45 minutes, and then Mark came in and said we had misunderstood and unless there was a problem we didn't need to come every week!!! That was never told to us and the last thing the registrar said to us last week was 'see you next week'. I am getting so fed up with the confusion now as nice as they all are I have had enough.

We came home and Totty was still no better. I did  a few things around the house and Jon worked in the office.

Totty did eat her dinner and seemed to be a little brighter and I got ready to go to my Lions meeting which is my last one - again! Nice evening and good dinner and I won a lovely basket of Easter eggs and biscuits and chutney and a fluffy rabbit.

I came home and Totty was not very well still unsettled and whimpering and walking round like she is in pain. I am really worried about her now as she has blood coming from her bottom so we will need to see the vet again.

I am really not happy with all of this. I have no idea what he has done to her. One of my friends said she finds him very heavy handed and I have to say I usually go to the other vet, Grant,  but it was the luck of the draw that it was John on yesterday.

I think it is going to be a very long night.
