Saturday

Well we didn't have too much rain or wind overnight but it did start to get windy and heavy rain about 9.00 but not much worse than a bad day.

We had long phone calls from both Heather and Jane this morning which was lovely so by the time we got out for coffee it was long past 11.00.

We went into Tauranga for coffee - I had hot chocolate!

We drove home and popped into the supermarket for a few things. Fortunately, the supermarket has an underground car park so we didn't get wet.

We got back and I did some housework, finally, as Jon had to go and meet someone who was down from Auckland and have a chat about a work issue so I had the house to myself which makes doing housework easier. Amazing how much you can get done in an hour when that is all the time you have.

I made lunch for Jon and then the young couple came to collect the things I had for them. She brought me some lovely potato bread and homemade yoghurt. We had a little chat and they left and agreed to come to collect the TV when we pack up.

We were going out for dinner with Sharon and Des so I made a cake to take with me and even managed to paint my nails before it was time to leave.

We had a lovely evening with them and Margaret they are always such good fun. Sharon had made a fresh supply of liqueurs so it was a shame I was not drinking!

It was pretty windy out and still heavy rain when we came home but not as bad as they forecast it would be unless the worst is still to come?
