We had a lot of bad weather overnight and I was awake for a long time, Totty kept waking me up and Jon did not sleep well so it was no surprise that I went into a deep sleep and when I did wake it was 9.25!!!!
I had a shower and went downstairs and Jon was just eating his scrambled eggs for breakfast! I made a cup of tea and got stuck in to cleaning the freezer drawers which I should have done on Friday! Jane, who has bought the freezer was coming to collect it later this morning so I had to get it done.
We went out for coffee - me a hot chocolate - and a muffin. We then went to buy our cinema tickets for the afternoon performance of 12 Years a Slave. Just as well we did as they were issuing seat numbers.
A quick stop at the supermarket and then home. Margaret and Viv called round and brought me a leaving present. They would have waited to give it to me when we leave but as Viv has to go to UK to see her sister they wanted to give it to me together. It is a lovely set of three block photos which make up one view of Mount Maunganui. Jon and I had been thinking of buying a set and now we don't need to. I am very lucky to have met so many lovely people here.
I made lunch and then Jane and her husband, Phil, arrived to collect the freezer. They came in with their little girl Grace who is four and we had a chat. Jane had a look around the garden and really loved it as most people do till they have to keep it tidy!
We managed to get the freezer into the back of their car and off they went. I hope it travels well.
We left to go to the cinema and I really enjoyed the film despite the terrible smell of garlic from the woman next to me who must have eaten a shed load of it. It was not as good as the book and I am glad I read the book first.
We came home and I cooked a pizza for dinner and we watched the first Grand Prix.
My tummy is feeling much better and so I tried a glass of wine with my dinner - so far so good. I feel better than I have for weeks.
