Monday

I got up at 7.30 today to try and get back into a routine - I hate being late up it puts me behind with what I want to do!

I had breakfast and waited for Jon to get ready and then we went for a coffee before going into the office to pick up his things and clear his desk. He had a chat to the guy in the office who is in charge of the new fumigation business and it all seems to be going well.

We then went to get the road tax for my car before going to the supermarket. As there was a bit of a nip in the air this morning I decided to make a hot pot. It will be interesting to see how Jon gets on with meat as it is so long since he had it.

We got home and I made lunch and just as I was doing it we had a shower and I had to rush out to get my washing in.

After lunch I started on my ironing which has built up over the last few weeks as I don't seem to have been in the house long enough to do it.

I had an appointment for Totty at the vet to have her anal glands cleared again so left to go there at 3.30.

I felt very embarrassed when I got in as she did a big wee on the floor. I usually walk her round the car park before we go in and I forgot!! Ooops!

The vet sorted her out and he asked when we were leaving so I had to explain that it has been postponed.

Back home I made the hot pot which I really should have done earlier to allow it to cool so I can skim off the fat. We will have to have it tomorrow instead.

I cooked some fish for our dinner instead of the hot pot.

We watched some TV and I did some knitting. The pom pom blanket is getting quite heavy on the needles so I can only do a few rows before my fingers start to ache.

Off to bed now to read the Thorn Birds. I do love a good book!
