I really should not have had wine last night as it didn't agree with me so from now on I will do as I am told and keep on with the medication!
It was so hot last night but as it was windy we couldn't have the windows open - uncomfortable!
I got up this morning and after my shower put the washing on and changed the bed. Heather rang and we both had a chat to her and then we went out for a coffee I had a mocha which was very nice.
We then drove to Jon's old office as he had the new monitor to give them and explain how it works so I sat in the car and played Pet Rescue on my phone.
We got home and I spent some time outside sweeping up rubbish from the storm which gathers in the car port.
Jon took our deck furniture apart to put the oil on it as it has dried out a lot and we want it to stay red and not go grey so we have to oil it.
I rang the agent who is arranging Totty's flight and spoke to her. I decided to send Totty on the Air NZ flight as it is six hours shorter. It is a bit more expensive but I think it is the right thing to do. I was worried about her going through Bangkok as it is so hot, she will now go via LA. She leaves here on 23 April and flies to LA on 24 and arrives in UK on 25 and will stay in kennels till probably 1 May, poor little dog. I do hope she will be OK.
I decided to make pasties today and made the pastry from a traditional recipe I found. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find lard so had to use butter only.
I left the pastry in the fridge and chopped up the meat and veg, it does take a long time to make pasties!
I did a bit of ironing and watched the news while waiting for the pasties to cook. My crimping on the edge is not the best but not bad and it is on the side as it is meant to be and not the top!
I made a salad to go with them and Jon ate a whole one and the pastry was dinner plate size! I could only manage half of mine so will have the rest for lunch tomorrow and make Jon jealous!
We watched some TV and now I am off for another early night and to read my book.
WEATHER
Sunny 23 degrees
