Sunday

A bit of a Sunday lie in today not to mention the bad head. We are both out of practice as far as wine is concerned. Two glasses is about as much as I can have or I really pay for it.

We went out for coffee to one of the garden centres this morning and it was very busy and no parking spaces! So many people enjoy breakfast out here and I must admit all the food we saw looked very good. We finally got a space to park and went in and shared a date scone and a coffee sitting in the sun.

I had a small piece of pork loin in the freezer and took it out for dinner so we had to go and buy some vegetables to go with it. I always pick hot days to do a roast!!

Back home we really did get stuck in to sorting clothes out. It took a long time but I think we are there. We had to put a price on them all for insurance but I really do hope the container doesn't fall off the ship. I wonder if I can book an interior space for ours!!

It is very hard without physically doing it to work out how much we can fit in a suitcase and I was not about to start packing four cases just for the sake of it. Hopefully, we are more or less OK. Not the end of the world if not as we will have to be packed when they come to take everything so if we have too much I am sure we can fit it in somewhere.

The roast pork was very good but I now have a very messy oven. I will get it cleaned and then no more roasts till we are back in the UK.

We have had Ripper Street recorded on the Sky box and started to watch it a couple of weeks ago and found it very difficult. We watched the second one tonight and it was no easier. I find it very hard to understand what they are saying. We will try one more episode and if we still feel the same we will get rid of it. We have so much to watch anyway.

I was reading the newspaper on my iPad and heard it start to rain and it became very heavy and hammered down on the roof. I suddenly realised all the upstairs windows were open and had to run up to close them. It was very wet in our bedroom so I had to get a towel and dry everything. By the time I had finished the rain had stopped and we have had no more!!
