Another beautiful morning today.
While I was reading my book in bed last night the power went out. Jon was already asleep and I continued to read, thank goodness it was on my iPad! I read in the paper this morning it was due to a car crashing into a pole in Welcome Bay - too fast and drunk driver but they all ran off! Happens so often here.
We got ready and left for an early coffee followed by our 11.00 hospital appointment.
We went in and were seen by the registrar who had put the stiches in last week. He told us Mark had lost his confidence in stitching Jon up again! Lol!
It was quite painful for Jon to begin with but once the anaesthetic worked it was OK and he cut the drain and re stitched it. Not sure how much is left in there but I can't see that it is another six weeks worth - time will tell. Once the anaesthetic wore off it was quite painful for Jon but not as bad as it was.
We then went to the supermarket and then home. Jon had a meeting so I made him an early lunch and then I did a bit of housework.
My friend Bronwyn came over this afternoon and we had a cuppa and a chat.
Jon came home and Bronwyn left shortly afterwards.
I cooked some nice pork fillet for dinner tonight and made some crispy, curly kale. I have never done it before and it was a little like Chinese seaweed but very nice.
We watched some TV and now off to bed to have a read and an early night I think.
WEATHER
Hot and sunny 25 degrees
