I woke at the normal time this morning and got up for my shower but Jon had a good lie in again and I suppose that is good as he needs the sleep to get stronger.
We decided to go out for breakfast and went over to the garden centre in Bethlehem and had a really good breakfast. There is certainly nothing wrong with Jon's appetite! He had two poached eggs, two slices of toast, bacon, tomato and a side of hash browns and really enjoyed it and only left half a hash brown!
We went straight home from there and I decided I would try and sort out how to knit with this pom pom yarn! Perseverance paid off and I soon managed to cast on and start to knit. I managed to do about 20 rows before my fingers were sore and I decided to stop. It looks very nice knitted up and I hope it will make a cosy blanket. I think it is going to become very hot and heavy while knitting it so just a well the weather is cooling down.
We didn't do much today which was nice. I sent emails to people that were long overdue. I made Jon some lunch but I didn't have any as I was still too full from my breakfast which was half the size of Jon's but he still managed lunch!
We had fresh tuna steaks for dinner which were good and then Jon watched TV and I finished the book I have been reading and found hard to put down. It is called Annies Girl and all about a child brought up in an orphanage run by nuns in Ireland in the 40s. Very sad and hard to believe how the nuns could treat little children like that. It affected her whole life but it was well written and I really enjoyed it. Back to the Thornbirds now.
WEATHER
