Thinking I had put the blanket on high last night and in actual fact I had just put it on standby so the bed was not warm! Silly me. However, I slept very well and thankfully Totty didn't wake me to go out in the middle of the night!
I had showered and was having a cup of tea before drying my hair and Kirsty called so of course my hair was dry by the time we finished and I had to wet it again!
I was due at Alison's for coffee anytime after 10.00 and got there about 10.15. It was good to catch up and she gave me her good news that she is to be a grandmother again in December, her son and daughter in law that eloped to Tahiti are expecting and she is very pleased about it.
Alison's husband is now retired and he loves to do jobs and showed me a lovely dolls house he made for his granddaughter now seven and he is revamping for their granddaughter who has just moved back from UK and will be one in August. the dolls house is lovely and the furniture is lovely too and all made by him.
I went in to see Jon with a coffee after I left Alison and he is really, really well and chomping at the bit to come home. Mark says he wants the drain in for two days so hopefully he can come home tomorrow.
I left to come home for lunch and on the way noticed that my brake light is coming on a lot. I thought I had not been releasing the handbrake but today, finally, I read the manual and it says it might be low brake fluid and need to be checked - oops! It has been doing it for over a week now.
When I got home I rang the garage and I need to take it in at 9.00 tomorrow. Hopefully, that is all it will be and won't take long as I need a car to get Jon home!!
After lunch I did my housework as we have a house maintenance inspection at some point tomorrow. They said between 9.00 and 2.00 but I can't wait in for them as last time they turned up after 3.00. I can't lock the dog up either so we will just have to hope she behaves or they come at a time I am home.
I went in to see Jon this evening and took him a few bits and pieces in and his coming home clothes.
He was very chirpy but the man in the bay opposite keeps singing 'Stairway to Heaven' which Jon doesn't think is appropriate in a hospital ward! Lol. He is bored and has read his book for most of the day but he does have a lovely view from his window. The men in the next bed was discharged this morning so he asked to be moved to the window which is much nicer.
I came home and had dinner and did some crochet and watched TV and at last I am up to date with Neighbours!!
Very late now so I am off to bed and I did put the blanket on tonight!
WEATHER
Sunny 15 degrees
