Wednesday

We had no sunshine today and although it felt warm outside it was colder in the house.

I went to meet the ladies I used to go to aqua class with on a Wednesday as they had said they would like to see Jane's wedding photos. I met them after their class and we had a long coffee morning and it was really good to chat with them again.

I left them and went to the Mount shops to buy a birthday present for a friend which they wrapped so it saved me a job. I also found some lovely little handmade cards in the shop so bought some of those. They are made by a local mum and use pau (abalone) shell.

After a quick trip to the supermarket I finally got back at 1.30 - just in time to make Jon's lunch!!

This afternoon I did some cleaning and once again I had to clean some of the kitchen drawers as the mouse has been around again. I have put a trap down with some chocolate in and if that doesn't work I am afraid I will have to let Jon put one of the horrible traps in. Fingers crossed the mouse knows what is best for him!!

We bought some pictures in Oz and have framed them so Jon hung them today and hopefully when they come to pack up the house they will think they were always there.

I made some peanut butter cookies today and it was the easiest recipe ever and they are very yummy. Let me know if anyone wants the recipe, an easy one for children to make.

I made a green Thai fish curry for dinner tonight and I loved it but Jon said it was too hot - I think he has just forgotten how to eat spicy food.

I think I will have to phone the dentist tomorrow. It is a week since my clean and polish and my left lower gum is really sore and not getting any better so not sure what he has stirred up.

I am meeting one of the girls Jon used to work with for lunch next week as she wants to see the wedding photos. That will be interesting!

Totty is still scratching but not so much so hopefully we are on top of the flea problem.

It is now raining really hard and they have had bad gales in the north and the south but we have missed them and the forecast is for a warm sunny day tomorrow.
