Wednesday

Not quite so cold this morning but that could have been because the windows weren't left open!

I did two loads of washing this morning but not sure it I would get it dry as not much wind and very little sun.

Jon went out to have a walk and a coffee and I did some housework.

I left to meet Michelle for lunch, she works in the office where Jon worked, and show her the wedding photos.

I had a lovely 'light' lunch of roasted pumpkin, penne pasta and parmesan cheese and it was really good and enough for lunch.

It was nice to chat to Michelle and she enjoyed seeing the wedding photos - we didn't talk about 'the office'!

I then went to see my friend Carol and take her Avon things as she is going away on Saturday.

I then went across to a swimwear shop as my swimsuit is a state and all the elastic has rotted with the chlorine so I need a new one. Swimsuits are so expensive here but I managed to buy one in the sale reduced from nearly fifty pounds (I would never pay that much for a swimsuit) to twenty five which is OK and it is very nice. Let's see how long this one lasts.

I did a bit of supermarket shopping on my way home and it looked as if it had been raining near out house but when I got in Jon said he had been in the garden all afternoon and we had no rain. My washing wasn't dry though and as it was starting to rain I had to bring it in and use the dryer.

We had a cup of tea and watched some TV and then I made the dinner. I found a Dutch blog about food and it had a nice chicken recipe on which is a bit like an Indonesian dish and it was very nice.

We watched some TV and then I rang my elderly neighbour in Newmarket as she has not been well. I didn't chat to her for long as she was making her lunch and she needed time to have her lunchtime drink before it was ready - a drop of brandy with some hot water!!! She said she has it every day. Bless her, she can't get out to walk now as it tires her out. It must be horrible stuck in the house every day, seven days a week.

The weather forecast is not so good this week there is snow forecast for the Desert Road which means we will get the cold southerly winds that blow up from there. We haven't had any frosts this year yet unlike June/July last year it was terrible so we mustn't complain.

WEATHER
Sunny spells with some cloud and showers 12 degrees.
