So much warmer this morning it was almost a pleasure to get out of bed.

I was up, showered, washing hung out, house tidy and out on my way to the garage by 8.30. I heard a text come through on my way.

I read the text when I got to the garage and it was Jon saying he wasn't allowed home.

I asked the man in the garage if he could check my car ASAP as I had nothing to do in Tauranga and as my husband was in hospital I had no way of getting home and back later. He said if the brake pads needed changing it would take longer but he would do what he could.

I decided to go for a coffee and then to the Red Cross and help out till I heard from the garage as the shop is not far away.

I got to the café and was just about to order my coffee when the garage rang to say the car was ready as it was just the break fluid that needed topping up - phew!

I texted Jon and told him I would bring him a coffee once I had collected the car.

They only charged me $6 - three pounds!!

I went to see Jon and he was really down as he had really wanted to come home but, and I noticed last night, there was a lot of fluid coming out of the drain and they don't want him to leave till it stops or reduces. He is very grumpy!

I left after a little while as I had the agent coming to do a house inspection but as it happens she didn't arrive till nearly 2.00 but found everything in order.

I spent the afternoon sorting out photos on FB. I also took Totty out in the lovely sunshine for her walk.

I went in to see Jon this evening and he is still very grumpy and nothing is right - the food, the other patients and pretty much the world. I understand he is upset and bored but he is in the best place and just has to be patient. I offered to take him food in but he doesn't want that either. I really hope he can come home tomorrow.

I got home and cooked my dinner and watched some TV.
