Monday

We had an early morning call from the nurse today to see if Jon needed a visit. I said no as we saw the nurse on Sunday so they said they will come tomorrow.

Busy day today doing all my housework and changing the bed.

I did some photo sorting in between and got another album up to date.

I was due to get a phone call from the company that do canvas prints today as I haven't been able to add my discount code when I try to order. I realised that the office is in Wellington and most of the city has been shut down today due to quake damage. They say it is mostly falling glass and not structural but it is a bit of a worry in view of what happened in Christchurch. Part of the harbour wall has caved in and there are cracks in roads. The train lines are all checked now and they say the city will open again tomorrow. So it is no surprise I didn't get a call.

We had lunch and I carried on with housework.

I took Totty out for a walk and met a lady coming down the street with her dog. She crossed over to the same side as me and so of course both dogs went crazy!!! Not sure why she crossed over to my side certainly not something I would do.

I cooked dinner but Jon is not eating much. He is fed up as he is still losing lots in the drain. He also has a cough which hurts when he coughs. Bertie is also playing up but that could be due to the new orange juice I have bought so no juice for breakfast tomorrow to see if it makes any difference.

I think he should have had a sleep this afternoon as he has been doing that since he came home so tonight he did not feel that well.

He has put off starting work until next week as he can't go in dragging a drain behind him.

We watched the end of the X Factor tonight and I am glad to say the one I wanted won. But only in NZ would you get the name of the winner come up on the screen BEFORE the presenter had announced it!!! Lol! But it didn't matter but it made me giggle.

Well bedtime now and off to my nice warm bed!
