The dog had me up early this morning as she needed a wee so I stayed up as it was warmer downstairs by the heater than in the bedroom.
I gave Jon a treat this morning and cooked him a full, well fullish, English. I can't remember the last time I 'cooked' a breakfast for him.
The nurse called to find out what had happened at the hospital and said she would come this afternoon with a view to removing the drain.
A nurse, a different one, came at 1.00 and took it out. the stich it was held in with was the most painful part. Once out he looked and felt much better. Strange how a bottle hanging from your side can make such an invalid of you and once out he was walking around like a spring chicken!! Lol
After she left we had lunch and then took the dog for a walk. It was a bit slow going due to Jon more than the dog but we managed to get all the way round and it was lovely and sunny.
Les came round to collect the TV that we had bought when Heather was living here, she has bought it for the new flat she is moving into.
Patricia from Lions called to see how Jon was and to tell me that last nights party was good and they enjoyed the games.
I am still reading the boring book that I started in Oz so I decided to get stuck into it this afternoon and sat by the window with the sun shinning in and read a lot and maybe it is not so boring now. The sun did make me sleepy though and I enjoyed a little nap.
I didn't need to cook as I still had a casserole in the fridge I made so it was an easy dinner. Nice to have some help back and Jon got back to his job of setting the table again and he enjoyed his first beer in two weeks.
We watched some TV and now it is an early night as Jon will be getting up for work tomorrow, the first time in nearly five months. I wonder if he remembers how to set the alarm. It is probably only a few weeks but he is very happy about it and looking forward to it.
WEATHER
