We were both up early this morning Jon to watch the F1 and me to see the tennis if it was still on - it wasn't so I missed it!! It didn't go to the five sets that I thought it would. But well done to him and it seems to have cheered everyone up but I don't think he deserves a knighthood, he is too young.
I did my bedding today and hung it out to dry and then went over to buy coffees for Carol and I and I then took them round to her house and we had a chat. She looks well after her spell in hospital but needs to have more tests later on. She can still go to Oz to see her grandson which is lovely for her.
I didn't stay long as I had to go for my mammogram at 11.00. Ouch! A necessary evil.
I then went to the post office and then home. Jon was out he had gone for a coffee and a walk around the Mount and was very hot by the time he got back.
I love cookery magazines and subscribe to two bi monthly ones and I buy a monthly one from the supermarket. My problem is that I see recipes and then can never remember which magazine they are in and looking in four years worth takes a long time! Jon suggested I look for an App so I did and found a really good one.
It has index cards and you can add ingredients, whether it is meat or poultry or fish etc, starter, main or pudding or cakes and so on. When you do a search if you can't remember what it is called you can just type in one of the ingredients and it will search. The best bit is that I can use the dictation feature and dictate the whole recipe and it gets typed out or I can just say which magazine it is in.
I am so pleased with it and played with it for hours. I just hope I never lose my iPad!!
Avon Carol called round this afternoon. I haven't seen her since Easter!!! I haven't wanted to buy anything as it is just more stuff to get back home. She came to see Jane's wedding photos and we had a good catch up.
I did a bit of ironing and watched Neighbours - I am only a week behind now!!
I cooked a chicken with balsamic vinegar dish tonight with a warm bean salad. Jon liked it but I think it needs tweaking so I will add that note to my app!
We have decided to stop drinking through the week so we had a dry night last night. I do enjoy a glass of wine when cooking the dinner but I know I should have a few nights off a weeks so that is what we are doing. It is easier to do in the winter but summer evenings are nice on the deck with a beer or a glass of wine.
WEATHER
Sunny and warm 17 degrees
