Well, after all the rain and thunder overnight we woke to a lovely morning and not so cold - crazy weather.
I loved getting into bed last night and the electric blanket is now my 'new best friend forever'! So warm and cosy and made such a difference, why have we waited so long??
I went to the Red Cross this morning and Sharon is still off ill so it was just Les and I till 11.00 when Midori comes in.
We kept ourselves busy by changing the window displays and I decided to tidy the bric a brac shelves and I must say once done the looked very nice.
Still not very busy in the shop but we did get a box of jewellery in to price up and put out. Some of it was very nice and I tried on a nice blue bead necklace but the beads were so cold on my neck I soon took it off - a summer accessory I think.
We also got a box of lace and nylon knickers in which sent the three of us into fits of giggles as they were all very big size 26+ and all black with lace trimmings. They were all new and made by a local company and the prices on them $40. I would never pay twenty pounds for a pair of knickers and they weren't even that nice. We hadn't sold any by the time I left at 1.00. I think it is not the weather for lacy knickers more like thermals!!
I left and went to the supermarket for a few bits and then went to see Bronwyn to take her duty free whisky we brought back from Oz. I stayed for a chat but was hungry so left to get my lunch but not before I had picked a bag of grapefruit from her tree.
I dropped off a jacket at the post office to be cleaned, he is a dry cleaning agent, and had a chat with the postmaster who is very nice.
When I got home Jon was still out so I made my lunch as it was by now 3.00 and I was starving.
Jon came home and he had been to buy some photo frames to replace some of ours that were broken.
I started crocheting some bootees for the hospital prem baby unit - it's a Lions thing.
Jon left to meet with Lisa who he used to work with for an after work drink so I had a bit of time to myself.
Jon came back and brought the fish and chips with him so we had dinner and watched TV.
Bedtime now and time to get into our cosy bed again!!
WEATHER
Sunny 14 degrees.
