Saturday

Well I didn't get my early night, not sure where the time goes once I get on the computer!

Jon slept well and in fact didn't get up till 9.00. I was up and ready and having a cup of tea when Kirsty rang so we had a chat - twice this week and then she spoke to Jon.

Jon looks better this morning but he really isn't a good patient. The nurse rang to ask how much the drain was making and it is still too much to be able to come out so he is stuck with it.

I made his breakfast and then I went into Tauranga to the library as he had run out of books. I got quite a selection so hopefully that will keep him happy for a while.

I got home and set to to make the lunch. I had tickets booked to go with Margaret to a concert tonight and so we decided to have our main meal at lunchtime and I could just leave a sandwich for Jon this evening.

We had some nice belly pork cooked with a lovely spicy orange sauce.

I cleared up the kitchen and Jon was watching TV but he has to have it so loud as he can't hear and it drives me mad if I am trying to read so I ended up reading upstairs and I could still hear every word of the TV with the bedroom door closed.

It was a horrible day today as it was horrible drizzle, not cold just grey.

I got ready to go out and made sandwiches for us both and left Jon with a tray of things should he need anything.

The concert was really good and had a NZ guy called Tim Beveridge who has played in musicals in UK and USA and he was very good and very funny. He also had a Canadian singer on with him and they sang songs from Phantom and a few other musicals.

The young girl, Jessie Halal, who came second in NZ Got Talent was also on. She has the most beautiful voice and is only 12 years old. It was a really good night.

The concert was held in a church which is a really lovely auditorium and they have lots of concerts there. The seating is really good and is in a semi circle on two levels and must hold over 1000. Not sure how many they get for church on a Sunday, I am sure it is not 1000.

We drove home and it was foggy!! I think that is the first time I have driven in fog in NZ.

I got in about 10.20 and Jon was just on his way to bed and feeling OK.

WEATHER
Overcast, some rain and FOG!!! 14 degrees
