Monday

Jon was up very early this morning as he wanted to watch the Grand Prix, well part of it, before going to work!! How nice does that sound?

He left to get in by 9.30 and I was on my own again to do my housework for the first time since March - it has been a long four months and so much has happened.

I had a good day and did lots of chores and had the radio on loud and sang along. I even cleaned all the window frames which get really messy due to condensation.

It was a lovely day today sunny and no wind and 20 degrees on the deck in the shade which is pretty impressive for winter.

I finally stopped for some lunch about 1.30 and caught up with Neighbours but I was only one episode behind. I also finished my boring book which had a lovely ending!

Jon came home just after five and had had a good day but he did look tired.

We were sitting having a cup of tea and an email came through to me from Karen, the lady who is the property manager at the estate agents. She had a letter from Genera saying they would only be paying rent till 1 September and asking for the bond back. and asking us if we want to stay in the house.

We were both really annoyed as the bond was paid by us and nothing to do with Genera and we knew the rent would stop on 1 September.

I emailed Karen and told her that we are staying, for now, and need to put the direct debit in our name and asked her for the papers to do so. I told her not to return the bond to Genera and Jon would speak to them. I just hope it doesn't cause any problems.

Not sure why they have done this now as we only need to give three weeks notice anyway and we need somewhere to live.

They really are a nasty bunch of a family and I don't know what we have ever done to them to deserve their dislike of us.

I told Jon not to say in the email that we are staying as it is none of their business what we are doing at the moment. He just emailed and told them we have proof that WE paid the bond and any further communication about the house is to be done through us as it is our name on the lease. Watch this space.

We had dinner and watched some TV a good English murder investigation. It wasn't advertised and we only saw it by chance in the TV guide but it was very good.

Back into the routine of lunch making again :-)
