After breakfast we took Totty for a walk and then took her over to kennels :-(
We got back and finished packing and then set off. It was a lovely day, clear and bright and no rain to go over the hill.
We stopped in Matamata for coffee and had a lemon muffin whilst sitting out in the sun and it was so warm.
Arrived at the hotel and left the car and got the shuttle bus to the airport. My first surprise was Jon telling me he had upgraded us to business class - I like travelling like that!!! So after a smooth check in we went straight to the Emirates lounge and had a glass of bubbly and a lovely lunch, the food is so good. After a quick message to the girls on the PC we sat and relaxed.
Our flight was called and we boarded and there were only 8 of us in the business class area and we had 4 crew to look after us and we were offered another glass of bubbly before we had even sat down.
The flight was really good but we were so full we could hardly eat any of the lovely lunch. The steward thought I didn't like my fish so offered me chicken instead!!! I watched a film, The Lovely Bones which was very good.
Nice landing then a taxi to the Novotel. Really nice room. We went down to the bar but didn't fancy any of the bar snacks so went back to the room and ordered ONE toasted cheese sandwich between us as we were so full. I had a bottle of water and Jon had a beer. We then went to sleep.
WEATHER
Beautiful sunny day but cold, lovely for flying. Brisbane was overcast and cool compared to what it was like in January
