My Birthday

We all had breakfast and there was lots of whispering going on. The breakfast room has a roof but is all open and it looks like you are in the middle of the jungle. The food is lovely and there is so much to choose from. However, I don't understand how people can eat noodles and curry for breakfast!
When we got back to our room the hotel had left a birthday cake and card in the room. There was lots of calling rooms and not knowing what was going on but eventually they all came to our room with lots of presents and cards including Jon's birthday presents and Father's Day presents. We had lots and lots of confetti 60s and stars all over the room and James and Kirsty had brought a bottle of champagne and I felt very spoilt with all the presents and realise how many people knew about it in the UK and Spain and all manged to keep the secret, amazing. We had lots of fun taking a group photo on three camera on the timer but they all came out well.
Jane's boyfriend, Jason, is lovely and so brave to have come along to meet us for the first time like this but he did really well.
After all the present opening we went out and found a nice little Thai place near the beach for lunch and we all drank lots of beer as it was so hot, very cheap and really good.
Although it was overcast it was so hot so we went to the beach, the water was so warm, It was too rough to swim but we all went in to our knees. The waves were quite strong and kept coming up the beach and then a really big wave came up very high and wet the towels and we all had to run to get our bags out of the way! James and Jason built a sandcastle and we all had a lovely afternoon and the time is just flying by so fast.
We went for dinner at The Rock as the hotel give a complimentary meal for everyone. The girls and boys had put balloons and banners on the table and so when I went down it was all decorated. Not a bad dinner but too spicy for most of us. At the end of our dinner the hotel staff brought out the cake, which I thought was still in the fridge in our room, and sang Happy Birthday. It was a really good evening and we all had a lovely time.
