No golf this week.

Well we didn't get any rain last night and this morning it is so sunny but cold.

Went to the shop and it was really busy as we have lots more stock in. Spent the morning putting boxes and boxes of it out. I was very good and didn't buy anything today. A very nice man came in and asked if we took clothes and I told him we did. He was about mid 60s and he told me they were his wife's and he looked upset so I presume she must have died and he was clearing out her things. He brought them all in and I thanked him and he left but I felt so sorry for him, it must have been so difficult for him, poor man.

Straight home after the shop, i am missing my golf lesson already! Got home and made lunch and Jon came home and then went back. I had a message to call the pre op dept at the hospital and it was to check that I knew what I had to do for next Wednesday about not eating after 7.00 am etc. I asked her about going away on holiday and she said she thought it would be OK as long as I didn't go and sit in any spas but hopefully swimming will be OK, well I can't change it so it will have to be, the elephant ride might be a bit painful though!

Bronwyn then called for a chat and was on the phone a long time, I should have gone across really it would have been easier!

Fed the dog and then went out for a walk with her. The council have been putting some humps in the road and a crossing down the road near the nursery school and a new bus stop. They have extended the footpath as it was just grass and as it looked finished I decided to walk along it. There was a man there, I found out he lived in one of the houses, and he told me I was only the second person to walk on it as they had only just removed the cones. He had wanted to have a ribbon ceremony but his wife wouldn't let him! Turns out he is another Brit and came out here 45 years ago, his wife is also from UK. There are so many of us out here!

I had put my new shoes on as I have just worn another pair out. The new ones are the same as the worn out ones, they were comfortable so I bought two pairs! As i was walking the right one was really hurting and I couldn't understand why as they were the same. When I got home I realised I had left the cardboard in and it was pressing on the top of my foot!!

It is Queens Birthday weekend this weekend so bank holiday on Monday and just like the UK the forecast is not good for Sun and Mon. Not sure what we are doing yet.

Had our fish and chips and now Jon is watching a very noisy film, the Boat that Rocked and although the music is good he has it on sooooo loud and as I am not watching it it seems even louder! I'll be glad when it finishes.

Heather is now on her way to Valencia and took off more or less on time. It is good being able to log in to all the airports as I can keep track when family are flying.

It is a bit cold tonight so I think we might be having the fire on over the weekend.

WEATHER
Cold first thing but sunny and then very warm later.
