No building today

Another lovely clear blue sky this morning and no builders today but an inspector is due to come and check at some stage.

Jon is doing really well now and is ready to leave for work by 8.30 which is later than he used to go in but pretty good considering what he has to do in the mornings to get ready.

I took Totty out for her walk very early today and when I got back Heather called to have a chat. I really should have been getting on with some packing but by the time I had finished it was time to leave for my doctor's appointment.

I went along with my book to read and prepared to wait half an hour like I did last week. I was called in after five minutes and felt cheated I had not been able to read.

Basically, the doctor was upset he got it wrong as he was convinced it was my gallbladder but the ultrasound is clear and the blood tests are fine. I told him again about the tests I had ten years ago for a slack oesophagus and he decided to refer me to a gastroenterologist but in the meantime has given me some pills to take before meals. The pills help to move the food faster through the stomach and so stop any acid or reflux which he thinks might be the problem. So I will give them a try as it would be nice to be pain free again.

I collected my prescription and Jon's at the same time and then popped into Tauranga and had a quick coffee before going home.

I got stuck into some packing and sorting. Hopefully, I can get most of it packed and the lighter things we can take over to the house as from Monday when we get the keys.

I had my lunch sitting on the floor near the window as that is the only place the sun shines in during the day. Even Totty follows the little bits of sunshine around the house all day and knows where she should be at certain times of the day.

We had an email from the owner telling us he might come up that weekend failing that he will send an agent to do a final check and collect the keys - all very civilised.

Alison had invited me over for a cuppa and I went and sat in her lovely warm and sunny conservatory and we had a catch up and I saw some photos of her new granddaughter.

I got home and made our dinner but Jon didn't get home till gone six tonight as he got caught up in a meeting.

After dinner we watched some TV and I might just get another early night tonight.

WEATHER
Sunny 21 degrees
