We woke to a wet and cloudy morning and it didn't get better for the rest of the day. However, we did manage to get into Tauranga and have our coffee and get to the library without getting wet.
We stopped at the supermarket on the way back and I must remember not to do a big shop when Jon is with me!! He can't walk fast and so I lose him and it is so frustrating. Eventually I told him to walk across the centre aisle and I would get the things and bring them back to the trolley but he kept wandering off and I was left holding armfuls of groceries!!!
We got home and he had to have a lie down as he was worn out. Hopefully, he will feel better over the next few days as he is on a week's rest from chemo.
We had lunch and then I started baking and made a sticky date and pear cake with 'wicked toffee sauce' for pudding tonight and some little cherry buns for tea. Jon went into the garage and started to stain the patio furniture. We have only had it a year but it has lost all its colour.
Once my baking session was done we had a cup of tea and then Jon went back to painting and I finally started my ironing - so many shirts to do but at least I could watch TV for the first time as I am more than two weeks behind with Neighbours.
I made chicken parmigiana for dinner which was very nice. We had salad to go with it and I put strawberries in the salad as we had at lunch yesterday and they go so well.
A bit of TV and then up to the office to do my blog. I tried to call my friend, Mary but she was out so had a quick chat to my friend Roz.
Now it is very late and I need to go to bed.

Wet and cloudy 17 degrees.
