We were both up very early today but noise doesn't carry in this house and so Jon was downstairs waiting for me to get up and I came down showered and dressed and ready for the day and it was only just after 7.00!!
I made some lemon muffins first thing and just as they were in the oven I had a phone call from Peter, Bronwyn's husband, to say he had had to take her to hospital last night and she is now on steroids for a chest infection. I knew she had a bad chest when I spoke to her to arrange coffee and she is prone to chest infections but I was surprised it had got so bad so quickly.
So, I had all these nice fresh muffins and a clean house and nobody to eat them or see it!! Never mind I walked the dog instead and did the washing.
A man turned up and said he wanted to cut the grass. I thought the lady did it but apparently she only does the flower beds and plants and he comes every two weeks to do the grass - fine by me!
Jon had got two of the men from Genera to collect the sideboard and it was delivered. It has got some marks on it but I don't think it is too bad and we need the cupboard and drawer space.
I had an early lunch and then left for my Pilate's class which I really enjoyed.
I went straight up to the book rooms after the class and spent the afternoon sorting out children's books and found some nice ones for some of my friends that have grandchildren over here. We stopped for afternoon tea and it is always very nice with some lovely baking done by the ladies.
The secretary told me that Lions had approved a donation to the walk we did an they have a cheque for me. That is very kind of them and I was very touched.
I got back and thought I had better set to and sort out my talk for tomorrow so spent the rest of the afternoon, in between making spaghetti sauce, doing that.
Our neighbour was cutting the hedge and asked if he could come over to do this side and I said that was fine. He said he would invite us round to meet his wife one evening.
Jon came home and watched the news while I carried on with my talk.
I went down and did the dinner and then came back upstairs to finish my talk off and print off the photos. all done now so I can go to bed.
I have a pedicure booked for tomorrow morning and I am really looking forward to that.
