Another full day

I was up at 6.00 and showered ready to go and collect Viv to take her to the hospital. It is a problem not having a door on the en suite when one of us needs to get up early!!

I left the house at 6.45 and was over to collect Viv and we were at the hospital by 7.15 which was far too early as the clinic did not open till 7.30 so we sat and chatted. I needed to stay with her so they knew she was not going to be on her own when she goes home. I am glad she is being kept in for the night as I was worried she would be at home on her own after having a procedure like that I thought it was dangerous. He granddaughter will collect her tomorrow.

I got back home and had breakfast and got ready for Red Cross. Jon left not long after I got back and was going out for lunch with someone so did not need sandwiches today.

It was really quite cold and windy again this morning and I looked like I had been through a storm when I got to work.

We had to change the windows this morning and so we did one like it was a beach and the other like a picnic and they both looked nice when we had finished but it took ages. We have a lovely Korean girl helping for a couple of hours on a Friday and then we have a Japanese lady who comes in at 11.00 every Friday and she loves the cakes I bake and take in. We are a really happy group and all work well together and don't just sit behind the counter!!!

A man was killed in Tauranga the other day after a motorcycle accident and it was his funeral today. The funeral cars drove past the shop on the way to the crematorium followed by hundreds of people on motorbikes, very noisy.

I left the shop just after 1.00 and went and did my shopping and then home for lunch and I was starving as it was nearly 3.00 by the time I got home.

Jon came home and we had a cup of tea and later he went out for fish and chips and we watched the last episode of Close Up a NZ current affairs programme. We recorded it and will keep it for Heather to watch as we had many a laugh over Close Up when she was here.

I was really tired after my early morning and I had texted Viv to see if she wanted me to pop in and see her but she said no but that she would call me tomorrow.

I had asked my sister to find some photos of me as a teenager as I need to take one to a Christmas party I am going to and have none here. she kindly found some and my nephew kindly scanned them and put them on FB so I have copied them and printed one. Wow! What a blast from the past. I have sat here giggling at them. I love old photos and there is one with mum and dad and they look so young.

Now I really will go to bed if I can stop reminiscing I might get to sleep.
