Sunday

We had a lot of rain and wind overnight but the weather this morning is, once again, not as bad as they forecast.

I was up before Jon this morning and made a cup of tea and then waited for him to get up before I had a shower. Jon watched the F1 qualifying and I made him some scrambled eggs - he will be looking like an egg soon.

We took Totty out for a walk but she didn't seem to like her new harness and wouldn't walk very well. When we got back I realised I had it on a bit too tight!!

We went down to the local garden centre for a coffee and bought the paper on the way back.

I read the paper and Jon went and did a few things in the garden. I had a really bad headache and I think it is because I am tense. I suddenly realise that I have my teeth clenched together and so relax but find I do it again and so it goes on and I think this must be causing the headache.

We had lunch and Jon went back into the garden. He hasn't said much today and I know he is very worried about Tuesday.

I did some ironing and the afternoon soon passed.

I cooked some pork steaks with apple and a mustard sauce which was very nice. Probably the last meal Jon will have now till Thursday or Friday. He is on clear liquids tomorrow and they say it could be three or four days after the op before he will have solid food.

We watched NZ's Got Talent tonight, it was the first show and very interesting!! The first act was a man dressed as a soldier and playing a one man bad, the Dad's Army tune and his cymbal hits him on the head mmmm!!!

Heather called to chat to Jon and she might try again tomorrow, bless her. Jon booked her flight today and she leaves on 22 December with Emirates but has stopovers in Dubai and Sydney.

It has just started to rain again but I don't mind it at night if the days are dry.

Really tired so off to bed now.
