We woke to a much nicer day this morning, blue sky although we did have some heavy showers overnight.
Heather called to chat just as I got out of the shower but Jon chatted to her first and so I got my hair dried before it was my turn. She is sorting out her holidays so that she can leave the UK in time to be here at Christmas and is getting really excited about it so I hope it can all be sorted to give her something to look forward to.
I went back to keep fit today and as it was a sunny morning the hall had the sunshine on it and we all got really hot, I think I might feel the pain tomorrow. The ladies enjoyed looking at the wedding photos.
I went to do a bit of food shopping after the class and bought a piece of beef to roast for dinner.
I then needed to take my car for a WOF (MOT). It was due on 28 August and I had forgotten but when Helen brought the post round there was a card to say it was due which was just as well as I never remember to check the sticker on the screen.
It had no trouble passing and I read my magazine while I was waiting which was very pleasant and relaxing.
I got back home and was really hungry so after hanging the washing out I ate the sandwich I had made for Jon, he has a meeting in Taupo today so will have lunch out.
I then took Totty out and there was a really cold wind but at least it was sunny. She has come back from kennels a different dog. I can see and feel she has lost weight which is no bad thing and I would not have been able to do it as she always looks so sad if I don't give her a taste of whatever I am eating but I knew she was overweight. I don't think she will get more than a couple of chips on a Friday night from now on as she does look much better thinner. She was happy to walk and for a change we managed a long walk without any sitting down or being dragged so that has to be good for both of us.
When we got back I sorted out lots of odds an ends that have been around since we got back and they all needed to be put away. It takes a long time to sort out all the things from a holiday and find a home for new things brought back but I am just about there now. I also got all the hand washing done which takes forever.
Jon came home early as he said it was not worth going back to the office so we had a cup of tea.
I had an email from my keep fit teacher and she has asked me to put all the information about the cancer walk here in NZ on a sheet and she will announce it to the classes to see if they can get a group together which would be good.
I cooked the beef and it was very good and having a roast on a Tuesday was a nice change.
We caught up with some Coronation Street and then both fell asleep again. I am really looking forward to feeling normal again.
WEATHER
