Sunday and a bit chilly

Well, we are getting used to not sleeping well now and we both had another bad night. Totty had me awake four times by 2.00 and I wondered who had been putting her blanket on her in the kennels!!

I looked at the clock around 5.00 and then slept till 7.00 when I heard Jon downstairs, he had got up to let Totty out and stayed up to watch the Grand Prix qualifying rounds.

I showered and went downstairs and weighed Totty as she seemed so much lighter. She has in fact lost more than a kilogram, a lot for a little dog who only weighed nearly nine anyway. However, she does look much better and was probably overweight anyway so I need to make sure she does not put it on again.

Heather called and I think she is feeling a bit low and it is very hard for her after all the rushing around over the last months and now we have come back here and Kirsty and James are away and she is on her own but not much I can do about it apart from phone calls and emails but it is very hard this time and I know how she is feeling.

We had breakfast and I hung out some washing and we then took Tot out for her walk which she really seemed to enjoy and then went out for coffee.

We went to have some photso printed and bought an album to put them in. I had made a selection and put them onto a memory card but the machine would not read it so I thought I had done it wrong and we went home to do it again. When I tried the card the photos were there so not sure what I had done.

We had lunch and were about to go off again for another try and I saw our neighbour and she was signalling to me so I got out of the car and went to speak to her.

She told me she had some post for us and that her partner had cut our grass while we were away which is why it didn't look as bad as we thought it would. She told me there had been an armed robbery at the dairy along the Welcome Bay Road while we were away and so they thought the grass being long and looking uncared for might attract unwanted attention so Pat, had cut it. He was surprised it had taken so long as he had not realised it was such a big plot. I thought it was so kind of them considering we don't know them very well as they only moved in a few months ago and we have not had much chance to speak as they are both out at work every day.

We went back to the photo shop and I tried again and Jon was watching over my shoulder (shame he didn't do that earlier) and he noticed I had put the memory card in the wrong slot!!! Doh!!!! The correct slot works much better. I edited the photos and then paid the bill and waited for the photos.

Jon, meanwhile had been looking around the shop and had decided to buy a new GPS (ours is broken) and he thought I should have a new phone (mine is very old and basic and the buttons getting very wobbly) so I am now up to date with technology, I just need to sit down with the book and see how to use it.

When we got home I made lunch for Jon but my appetite is still not so good and I didn't feel hungry. I hung out the second load of washing and as we had a good wind the first lot was dry. I can see a lot of Neighbours being watched tomorrow while I do my ironing.

We did a few bits around the house, paying bills and things and I caught up with some of my blog.

I cooked dinner tonight and it was good but I still don't have much appetite. I am sure it is just jet lag and getting back into things and it is going to take time.

WEATHER
Cloudy with a cold wind.
