Saturday

We were up and ready to leave early for us on a Saturday as it was the Santa Parade down at the Mount and they close the roads so we needed to get down there to park.

We did eventually manage to park and luckily very close to the main street.

We found a table on the street in a cafĂ© and ordered our coffee and a muffin and sat an waited for the parade to start. We had no great expectations as in the past couple of years it has not been very good.

A Swedish couple sat on the table next to us and the lady asked me where I had got my handbag hook from and I told her that my sister had sent it from UK but that they were now available in a shop down the road from where we were sitting. She was very impressed and said she would look for one. I do have lots of people commenting on my 'handbag butler' as they are called and I use it all the time so a big thank you to my sister Joyce.

The parade was much better this year with lots more floats but it still lacks music to give some atmosphere.

After the parade we went off to do a bit of shopping and I took my opened bag of crisps back and got a replacement.

We arrived back home and I made lunch.

Unfortunately, I had, due to a cool weather forecast, taken a leg of lamb that I had in the freezer and thought I would roast it. The weather turned very hot and humid in the afternoon and after making scones and then a roast leg of lamb the kitchen was very hot.

The lamb for dinner was very good but I didn't do all the roast veg with it.

We watched some TV and then I phoned my friend in Spain and we had a lovely chat till my midnight when I was too tired to do my blog so went to bed.

WEATHER
Overcast with sunny spells 26 degrees
