I slept really well last night so much so I didn't wake when Jon went down for breakfast only when he came back up for a shower! Just as well he wasn't taking lunch today!
Jon left for work and I had my shower and did my nails which were a state and also, finally plucked my chin!! I forgot to take my tweezers with me to Japan and I think people may have thought I was going in for the Movember challenge!! All smooth now though - the things we have to do as we get older!!
Heather sent me a message on FB to say she was home and very tired.
I spent the morning doing the washing and trying to fit it all on the line and just managed to but did use the dryer for all the socks.
I uploaded all the photos and got them sorted now I just have to get them onto Facebook.
The gardener came at lunchtime and cut all the hedges. She told me she had spoken to the owner and that a man would be coming in to prune the olive tree and the cabbage tree as it is too big a job for her.
I left to go to the book rooms as it is the sale this week so it is all hands on deck. I spent the afternoon sorting the magazines which have spread out a lot more now that we have the second room. We also have hundreds of Mills and Boon which always sell well and hundreds of Readers Digest and encyclopaedias which don't! I cannot imagine the amount of money there is there in magazines, just amazing. My back is killing me now as all the boxes are on the floor so I have been bending over. All the books are on tables so not so bad in the other room.
We stopped for a cuppa and one of the ladies brought in some lovely, hot dates scones for afternoon tea. I will ask her for the recipe as they were so good.
I came home and it was so hot in the house, poor Totty must have been baking but I think she sleeps all the time we are out so probably doesn't notice.
Margaret called this afternoon to find out if it is the book sale this weekend and said she will come over on the bus on Saturday. We also arranged to go to the cinema one day next week.
I watched a bit of Neighbours and then brought the washing in and did some ironing until Jon came home. He was due to go for his Pilates class but felt too tired so came home.
I had my Lions meeting tonight so cooked my dinner early and left Jon to cook his when he was ready.
Our business meeting was not very long tonight as all the ladies are tired and we have books again tomorrow.
Once home I had to check up on the cinema times for a couple of films that the Lions ladies might like to see next week. Once we decide I will email them to let them know.
Now I need to catch up with all the other days of my blog since we have been away!!
