I was up at 6.30 this morning and got ready and left the house at 7.30 to go to the book rooms for the 8.00 opening.
It was not the usual mad rush this morning as it has been in the past but the morning was busy and steady and I didn't stop till 11.00 when Jon brought me a coffee and I went for a much needed break.
I went back to the rooms and had a stint on sorting books and put them all in order again which is less stressful than working on the cash machines and adding up the books.
I had a break for my lunch later and then got back to it till 4.00 when I did the totals for them on the card machines as they don't know how to work them and I use them at the Red Cross.
I got home at 4.30 and very tired with a bad back from standing all-day.
Jon had been out and bought food for a bbq and he cooked dinner which was very nice and most welcome.
I had an email to say we had made more than $22.000 in just one day which is a really good total.
I spent the evening looking for the soundtrack of All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth for a little show our committee have to put on. I found a good one and then spent the rest of the night listening to Christmas music - still very odd when it is so warm!
I need to get off to bed now and sleep and be ready for more book sales tomorrow afternoon.
