Monday

I was very good this morning and got up with the intention of doing my housework early although it was somewhat cooler first thing.

Heather rang just as I was making Jon's lunch and we had a nice chat to wish her a happy birthday and she told us she had had a good weekend. Heather chatted to Jon and then had to go as Jane and Jason where at Centre Drive and Kirsty was cooking dinner for them all - happy family!!

I got stuck into my housework and after a couple of phone calls interrupting me I had it all done, completely clean house with floors washed throughout by 1.00 - impressive!

Jon had called mid morning to ask if I had seen the email from Kirsty and I had not. It looks like they have sorted things with the house and are going to be moving in to rent it till the issues with the roof are sorted! Wow! That has all happened fast at the end of such a long road. They hope to move in the next week which will leave Heather with one big house all to herself. I am so pleased for them and I hope it all gets sorted properly very soon.

I had another phone call from the lady who organises the book sale as we have a lot of unsold books and magazines which I said the Red Cross would take so I arranged to collect some this afternoon.

I had some lunch and another shower and then went over to Bethlehem to collect the books and magazines.

The shopping centre have put a beautiful Christmas tree up and it is covered with baubles. I must take my camera next time I go up there.

I went to the post office to buy Christmas cards and stamps and although I have said I am not sending many this year it still cost me nearly $200! I usually buy cards and stamps separately but buying them all together made me realise what a waste of money it all is and wish I had not done it as it could have gone to a charity. Too late now!

I then went to see the photographer who we have a sitting with, courtesy of the garage Jon bought his car from. I had to fill in the paperwork and go through the deal and have arranged for the sitting next week.

I passed by the agent on the way home to pay the water rates and then got home just after 5.00 and Jon was already home.

We had a cup of tea and then I brought the washing in and ironed the sheets to make up the bed. Just as well dinner was a freezer meal.

We watched some TV and now after another busy day I am going to bed.

The weather people say this November has been the hottest since 1974 but that is due to change tomorrow and we have a possible three days of heavy showers and some thunder so not sure I will get to my aqua class tomorrow.

WEATHER
Cool start then sunny 26 degrees
