Up and ready for work this morning with plenty of time to spare and I should have walked the dog but it was a bit windy but nothing like it was during the night - again!

I left for the shop and arrived to find Fiona decorating the window for the retail course she is doing and it looked very pretty as she drew huge flowers on the windows and it looked like Easter!!

We had another quiet morning with Jessica being her usual, frustrating self. I decided it was no good moaning about her and decided to give her a job to do with clear instructions! I asked her to tidy the rail of jeans and make sure the buttons and zips were done up and that they all faced the same way and were clipped to the hangers. Most people would just do this but I realise she needs to be told exactly what she has to do and then she does it and made a good job of it - progress? No, she then went back to looking at labels!!!

The manager had a word with her and told her she was only allowed one break during the morning - she has been having at least two x twenty minute breaks and one before she leaves at 12.00 and she only starts at 9.00!! She also told her she must say when she is leaving the shop floor - she usually just disappears! Hopefully next week we will see an improvement.

Apart from Jessica the morning was quiet and we didn't sell much at all.

I left just after one to go and meet my friend Carol for lunch. Coincidentally, Jon had arranged to meet someone at the same place but earlier. He was just leaving as I arrived.

We had a nice lunch and chatted non stop for about two hours until the place was closing!!

We then went next-door and had a look in the gift shop there.

I then had to leave as I needed to take some jeans to the dressmaker to have them shortened as I want them for Japan next week.

I went to buy Jon some beer and finally got home at 4.30 - poor Totty!

Jon came home and we watched the news and he updated me on his day and then it was time for him to go out for the fish and chips which was much better tonight.
