I logged on to the computer this morning and the first thing I saw was a post from my nephew's wife wishing her son a happy second birthday and I felt really bad as I had not sent a card. I thought it was because it was the beginning of the month and I had not turned the calendar over but when I checked it was not even on the calendar!! Note to self 'must do better next year'.

I had to leave early to get over to Bethlehem to have a pedicure and a manicure. I really enjoyed both and she did a good job.

I was going to meet Jon for coffee but when I called him he was still walking round the Mount so I went to Bayfair on my own as I had a few things to do.

First stop was to take my sunglasses back - again. The girl asked me to leave them with her and call back so I went for my first coffee since last Friday!!!! I then had a wander around the shops and bought two pairs of leggings to replace my worn out ones.

Back to get my glasses and they decided, in view of the fact this is the third repair, to replace them but needed to see my docket so I said I would bring it in later today or tomorrow.

I went home and Jon was not yet back. I waited ages and was so hungry I had my lunch. Eventually, he came home. He had taken his car in for a WOF (MOT) and they told him it would be an hour so he waited - nearly two hours!! Eventually, a man came out and told him they were just about to do his car and they had not realised he was waiting!!! They then gave him a courtesy car and he came home.

I made Jon's lunch and then said I would go and get my sunglasses sorted and left for Bayfair. I parked the car and had a funny feeling that I had not picked up the docket!! After searching my bag I realised I had left it by the phone. I quickly called Jon and he said he would bring it over to me as he was due to collect his car soon anyway - phew.

I eventually got my glasses changed and now have new ones.

I went home and Jon went off to buy a camera, he thinks he would like to dabble in photography.

I did some ironing when I got back and put the clean sheets on the bed so I am all up to date with housework and ready to go away well, the house is ready for me to go away. I still don't have clothes sorted. Very hard to work out what to take as it is hot in Thailand and cold in UK but hopefully it will get warmer!!

I baked some date scones and checked what I have in my larder and it is looking pretty empty as is the fridge and freezer.

Jon got back with his new toy so hopefully that will keep him occupied for a while. He went for coffee with a guy yesterday who works in the industry and he told Jon that nobody can understand why Mark has done what he has. Jon said that is the opinion of a lot of people but unfortunately none of them actually say it to Mark! I say let them get on with it now and the sooner we are out of here the better as it is too hard thinking about what they have done.

I cooked dinner and we then caught up with Coronation Street though not sure what the point is as we are 18 months behind and are never going to know what has gone on once we get back to UK.

I have been sorting out my makeup and soap bag etc. so hopefully tomorrow it will just be a matter of putting it all in the cases - 'just'!!

Off for an early night tonight as I have been so late recently trying to get photos on FB and it is still not playing the game and not sure why.

I am loving the new spellcheck on FB as you type and also on my blog so saves me having to do it before I post it.
