We were all up early, well most of us were. Jane left very early to have her hair done, 7.30!
I went to the hairdressers at 10.00 and left everyone at home getting ready in various ways. It was lovely to see my hairdresser again - four and half years since I saw her and she still gives me a lovely haircut!
Jon picked me up and we went home to pick up our things and go to the hotel. Jane had only just left as her hair had taken much longer so she was already running late.
It was chaotic at the hotel, too. Mark (cousin) and Sara let Jane use their room to get ready and Abi had already started on Jane when I arrived. The next couple of hours just flew by. The photographer was in and out of our room and in various parts of the hotel taking photos of anyone he could find then back to take photos of the dresses and flowers and so it went on. Abi did an amazing job on me and managed to disguise the horrible cold sores on my lips and I looked well.
Jon came over and I left to go to the wedding room it was all very busy in the hotel with lots of people around and it was lovely to see everyone dressed up, Jason's mum looked very nice.
We were called into the room and then Jane walked down the aisle and she looked lovely, the room looked very pretty with the theme of butterflies and the colour lilac.
The service was ve4ry nice but ve4ry short as civil weddings are but it all went very well.
We then went outside for the photos which took a long time and it was not very warm but I was the only one that really noticed it.
By the time the room was set up and the photos finished we were all very hungry and more than ready for our meal. The tables were lovely and the meal was very good. I had salmon followed by lamb and it was lovely. I had chosen sticky toffee pudding but couldn't manage it as I was too full.
The speeches were good and the best man was a star and made us all laugh a lot.
We all then went out to the bar and dance area and sat and talked and it was soon time for the evening guests to arrive, the first dance and cut the cake all went well and she had Especially for You for the first dance.
I was by this time feeling very cold and unfortunately, not in the mood to party. The buffet, I am told was good but I didn't feel like eating. The chocolate fountain looked amazing but I was not in the mood for that either. Such a shame for me to feel rough as I just didn't make the most of the day and it was all lovely.
We all went off to bed around midnight and we had a lovely room and it didn't take long to get to sleep.
WEATHER
