Winter

I took Tot out for her walk but she really wasn't happy as it was too windy!!!

Went off to Red Cross and we were really busy with lots of stock to take off the shelves and new stock to put out. The new manager was late coming in as her little boy is not well and she had spent part of the night in the hospital with him as he has D&V and high temperature. He is only 10 months and just started a nursery so I imagine he must have picked something up, poor little chap.

Got home and made lunch for us, Heather is still on cereal twice a day so not much for her but we had some nice soup.

After lunch I brought some of the new delivery of logs into the garage as the forecast is for lots of rain this weekend - typical it is a bank holiday!!! It was hard work but I managed to get a lot of them into the garage. We will need to cover the rest so they don't get wet.

I then vacuumed the house as I didn't do it on Monday and then made a cup of tea and watched Downton Abbey which I am really enjoying.

Jon and Heather came home and Heather got ready to go out. Jon took her over to meet the girls from the office and she will come back in a taxi later but so far no sign of her.

I had a phone call from Les to tell me that her daughter in law had given birth to a little boy today so she was very happy. I hope she will be able to get up to see him soon.

We had fish and chips and watched TV.
