A lovely lie in

After all the awful rain and storm last night we woke to a really lovely day, cold south wind but sunny. We were told that 20 -30mm rain fell last night in 30 minutes and people lost electricity power so we should count ourselves as lucky.

After a nice lie in I got up and showered. Jon told me that Les had called to say that Bianca had a baby girl at 6.10 this morning. I called her back and she was so happy but really wanted to go and see them but they want 'time on their own'. Shame for Les as she is their only relative here and I can't see what harm a half hour visit in the hospital would do?

We took Tot out for her walk and then went off to Bayfair for a coffee which was very nice along with the banana and walnut muffin!

We did a bit of shopping and bought some new reading glasses to replace the ones I broke in Vanuatu. We bought a new external hard drive for out PC but not sure if we have done the right thing. Heather needs to be in a more receptive mood to tell us if we have done right or wrong!!! Kids!!!

Heather had a tattoo done on her tummy today of a Kiwi (bird, not fruit) it looks fine. We were worried about the effects of the dye on her skin as she is so allergic to things. She was told by the tattoo man that it should be fine - I hope he is right. It looks OK.

I cooked cannelloni stuffed with ricotta, bacon and silver beet for dinner. I really liked it but Jon said it was not a Saturday night dinner and Heather said it was OK. The coffee cheesecake was very nice though.

WEATHER
A beautiful day, where was the forecast rain? 17 degrees
