Lots of rain.

After overnight rain we woke to rain and should have taken the brief opportunity of a dry spell to get Tot out as it was the only one of the day so no walk for Tot today.

Heather slept late after her night out last night so we didn't see her this morning and went out for coffee before she was up. We went over to a new cafe near Briscoe's but although the coffee was very good the muffin was not so good.

We then went into Briscoe's, they have a Queens Birthday Weekend' sale. We bought a new washing basket as mine is broken and a new ironing board.

We then went to the warehouse where we bought a new bedside table for Jon as I broke his other one - standing on it to clean the window - oops. We also bought a tarpaulin to cover the wood though by now it is probably quite wet!!!

Back home it was time for lunch and Heather was up and watching TV.

After lunch Jon and Heather went out to Bayfair and I stayed home and cooked a casserole for dinner and a Tarte Tatin for pudding.

The daughter of a friend of a friend of mine from America phoned to say she was now in Rotorua and thinking of coming to Tauranga. I invited her to stay with us and hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow and we can show her around a little. We will go and pick her up from Rotorua and go to the luge and maybe one of the thermal parks.

Heather came back with more clothes from the shops but said it was Jon's fault as he went for an eye test and so she had to fill her time doing something!!!! She also bought the Kiwi version of Monopoly which we played before dinner and not having played for years and years I quite enjoyed it.

Dinner was pretty good with no complaints and pudding was also yummy so despite the weather a good day for us all.

WEATHER
Rain all day but still 17 degrees
