After doing some washing first thing this morning and getting it6 hung out I went to the supermarket to get my shopping for our bbq tomorrow. I stopped for a coffee and sat in a little plaza watching the world got by for a while.
Shopping done I went back home and just spent the day doing odd jobs around the house.
Jon came home at 2.30 and he said he was the last one in the office! He said it was very quiet in the office and a waste of time going in but if he doesn't go in he doesn't get paid. One of the silly employment rules here in NZ - no holiday pay till you have worked a year and then you get four weeks plus four for the coming year!!! Never mind.
We had a cup of tea and didn't do much else really.
I made the easiest New Year's Eve dinner I have ever made in my life. Pasta with fresh tomatoes cooked in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Jon is happy to eat vegetarian food now and I am happy to eat it so that is fine by me. We did have merengue with strawberries and clotted cream for pudding though. Not much to drink and Jon was in bed by 11.00.
I stayed up till midnight as I as trying to sort out the computer as I had been hacked so sent out an email to warn people. Not sure why it has happened to me so many times and never to Jon, it gets very annoying and I hate the people who cause so much trouble and don't understand why they do it. I really would like to meet one and ask them.
The fireworks started around 9.30 but Totty was not at all bothered by them. Could be she is deafer than I think!
I sorted some photos out for FB of the first part of our trip and need to get the others done.
I went to bed just after midnight so I did see the New Year in!
