What a difference a day makes! WE woke to grey skies and overnight rain with the promise of more to come.
I had my appointment for my hair this morning but as my lady does not work on Wednesday I was booked in with Clayton. I didn't take to him as after only three minutes he told me my scalp had irritation and asked what shampoo I used and then asked me if I spent a long time in the sun - too personal too soon I think. Not sure where he was going with the too much sun was he going to comment on my hair or my face!! I don't think I have more sun than most Kiwis do and probably a lot less than many Europeans.
I wasn't happy with my hair as he swept it all back and put it behind my ears and then too much hair spray. It was by then dry and too late to do anything other than brush it out when I got home. Not sure what it is going to look like for this portrait sitting this evening.
Just as well I had no other plans for this morning as the weather was not nice at all. I went and bought a new dress from Principles which is lovely and then went home. I had a quick lunch and then did the baking for the Lions Youth Camp.
I did some ironing and then read my book while waiting for my nails to dry.
Jon came home at 4.00 and we got ready and went over for our freebie portrait sitting. I don't know why I agreed as I hate sitting for professional photographers, I feel very self conscious. The photographer was very good but I am sure the photos will look very stiff.
We go home and the rain was still falling heavily.
I made dinner which was, much to Jon's delight, fish again.
We watched some TV and then I bought a Dyson online for Heather to collect from Argos. Kirsty and James have taken our old one and I don't want to put Heather off if she wants to do some cleaning! Lol!
It is still raining and there is a heavy rain warning out for the BOP with still more to come tomorrow.
WEATHER
Cloudy with heavy showers 21 degrees
