Sunday

It was Totty who had me up last night but fortunately not for long.

Feeling better but still can't eat much but a big improvement.

I rang my sister this morning and we had a chat, such a long time since I spoke to her.

The man came to collect the deck furniture and the man who was with him, the one who owns the trailer, commented on our bbq and Jon said he could have it for $100 if he wanted it (we are buying a new one). He said he needed to go home and check with his wife - bless him - and he would let us know.

We went out for a coffee and to the supermarket, where I found clotted cream, and when we got back we took Totty out for her walk and she did walk with a few shoves up her rear end.

As we got back we met our neighbour and he asked us if we knew anything about an umbrella stand that he found on his front grass, we had walked past and not seen it, the people who bought the furniture had forgotten to put it in the trailer! We put it by our gate and then went in to call them. They said they would collect it later.

Soon after the guy knocked on the door to ask for it and he also said his wife agreed to the purchase of the bbq but they would not have the cash till Wednesday. He offered to leave $20 but we said no it would be fine till Wednesday and off he went.

A bit later on the man who had actually bought the furniture called for the stand but we told him his friend had already collected it. He also asked if his friend wanted the bbq and we said yes. He said he would have bought it if he hadn't. People know when they are getting a good deal and our bbq, although three years old looks very good as Jon looks after it well and keeps it very clean. Now we just need to have our new stuff delivered.

We had lunch and then got the Christmas decorations out and the tree. I found three bags of cards in the cupboard, Christmas cards, birthday cards, anniversary cards and every new house card we have had in our three houses here plus all the new baby thank you cards and photos of which there are many! Pretty much every card and letter I have had over the last five years. It really is silly keeping them as they take up space and won't come back to UK with us so I went through them and kept the photos and thank you cards and some of the special cards and all the rest I threw out. I hated doing it as it is such a lot of money to throw away.

I finally got down to doing the tree and had it finished in an hour. I am not putting too much up as we will be away but I had to have the tree.

We had a cuppa and I took some mince pies from the freezer and we had one with some clotted cream yummy!

I cooked dinner a bit later on and did manage to eat some so obviously on the mend now.

We watched some TV and that was another day over.

WEATHER
Sunny spells with a few showers 24 degrees.
