Tuesday

Another busy day today. I started with my keep fit class which was extra hot and sweaty due to the very high humidity. I have never felt like stopping as much as I did today and we were all very relieved when she told us to get our mats and we got down on the floor which was much better.

I stayed for a coffee and we all had a chat. This is the last Tuesday class till January. They have a morning tea after the Friday class and a bring a plate. I am always at the Red Cross on Fridays so I have never been able to go. If I get the dog to kennels early enough I might make it back for the morning tea this year.

I had to go to the supermarket after class and I looked a mess with hair plastered to my head so it was a quick das in and out to get home to shower and change.

I used up the leftover egg whites today and made meringues which I will use for Thursdays lunch and freeze the rest.

Before I left for the class I heard a chainsaw down at the bottom of the garden and when I looked out the neighbour had some men in cutting the wattle tree down that had half fallen in the tornado and was leaning into our garden. When I got back from my class they had also taken down a conifer tree which was not very nice but then they had started to take down the pohutakawa tree which is the NZ Christmas tree and it was just coming into flower. I thought you were not allowed to chop them down as they are protected so we will wait and see but it has gone now which is such a shame. The bottom of our garden is now very open and we can see into the new house that has just been completed down the hill. It doesn't really affect us but it does look very bare and open. I suppose I should let the agent know and they can pass it on to the owners.

I had my lunch and then did a few jobs around the house. We had a short shower of rain but very heavy and big drops. Still none of the thunder that was forecast and that they seem to have had all around us.

I left to meet up with some of the ladies I used to go to aqua with on a Wednesday and we had a cuppa and a chat which was nice. I fogot to take the truffles to Carol so will need to go and see her before I leave. I am so cross with myself for forgetting them as I left the card on the table to remind myself!

I then went to my aqua class and it was lovely to get into the pool which was a lovely temperature. Unfortunately, I forgot to put some cream on and I am a bit rosy this evening.

On the way home I stopped by to see Les and drop her present off and we had a quick chat before I had to get home.

Jon was in when I got back but due to go out to his class so, as I was really hungry, I got on and made my dinner.

I did some ironing to keep on top of it and then Jon came home and I made him a snack and we watched some TV.
