I was up after Jon today and he was going out to work before I got into the shower that is a first for a long time.
Kirsty phoned just as I got out so I asked her to give me five minutes to get dressed and then she rang again. We had a long chat about wedding things and Jon and she said how much she liked her Guess handbag and purse we bought for her and the girls took home. She has a lot on her plate at the moment but the wedding plans are coming along well.
By the time I got off the phone it was nearly time to go and meet the ladies after the aqua class for coffee. I just had time to take Tot out for a quick walk but we got caught in a heavy shower and I had no umbrella!
I sent a text to Les to meet at the Hot Pools but she replied and told me she is off to Adelaide on Friday and so was busy. Les needs to leave the country every six months as her visa is not in order yet. she has had so much trouble getting her visa and will have to leave in November and go back to SA, where she lived for 30 years before coming out here, or UK, where her sisters live, and apply and hopefully it won't take too long as she will miss being with her daughter and granddaughter and her son and his baby but I don't suppose she will be back in time for Christmas. Les' daughter is the manager of the Red Cross where I work and she has been on maternity leave but is due back next month.
I went across to the Hot Pools and met Carol but she told me the class had been cancelled as the weather was bad so none of the other ladies were there so just the two of us went for coffee which was nice as we had a good catch up. She is going over to Sydney for a few weeks to help her son and daughter-in-law move house and she will take care of her grandson while she is there.
On my way home I did some food shopping and then once home I did some housework and another English friend called to chat so I really didn't get much done and only managed to eat my lunch at 3.00! I took Tot out for her afternoon walk and just missed another shower! I don't really know where the rest of the day went.
Jon came back late as he went to the gym and I cooked pork chops in cider with apple and cream and it was very tasty and we had bread and butter pudding made with croissants and that was yummy, too.
It feels strange to have a day without hospital visits. Jon was fine when he came home and now he is sleeping better does not get so tired at night.
I have been emailing Heather all night trying to set up this thing on the computer but it just seems to be getting more and more complicated and the windows she says should open don't and I ended up with so many windows open my mind was going crazy. I have told her I can speak to her on the phone on her Wed night and hopefully we can get it sorted.
WEATHER
