Not much doing today for the girls!

Heather was already awake when we got up and she said she had not slept much through the night and still had pains in her tummy and couldn't eat anything.

I made Jon's breakfast and had my own and then Jon went off to work. I took Tot out for her walk and although it war really sunny outside, like most Kiwi houses, this house is cold inside apart from the rooms where the sun shines ins

Jane finally woke up at 11.00 and I had spent the morning baking cakes and keeping busy.

Heather didn't want anything to eat but finally showered and dresses and we popped out to the shops and her favourite shoe shop where she found THREE pairs of shoes she liked!!!

We got back and I put the leg of lamb in to cook and we watched some TV.

We heard raised voices in the park and when we looked out some women who were down having a bbq and picnic were arguing and one of them hit the other and all hell broke loose!!! Never seen that before in our little park. Eventually one women drove off in her car and it was all quiet again/

Jon came home and we discussed going down to Mt Ruapehu which is the winter ski field in the central part of the N Island. The forecast looks good but I will need to check if the chairlifts are open to get us to the top if not, it will not be worth going.

Dinner was good and Heather ate a little bit but not much. Hopefully, after a good night's sleep she will be OK tomorrow.

It was really cold this evening so we tried out the electric heaters and they work well we are just not sure how much they cost to run. I think we are going to need the fire soon so I bought some kindling today!! I really don't understand why they don't insulate the houses here. I think I say the same every winter!!!

WEATHER
Sunny but a real nip 19 degrees
