We had a bit of a lie in this morning which was nice.
I showered and Jon had breakfast and then went down to the garage to stack all the wood I brought in, with the help of the delivery man, and now it is all neat at the back of the garage.
We took Tot out for her walk and then we went into Tauranga for coffee but I was still not feeling well and still have this pain in my back and side. We went to buy some new towels and sheets that Jon will need for his stay at the Lodge. I also bought a little plastic box with compartments. I have labelled them all with the days of the week and am and pm on them and put all his tablets in them so that he does not need to worry about forgetting to take them as they are now all labelled.
I popped into the chemist on the way back to buy some solution for my lens. I also asked about stronger nail varnish remover as it takes me ages to remove my Shellac nails and they do it so fast in the salons. She sold me a bottle of 100% acetone which is what they use in the salons. I will have a try tomorrow and see if it is quicker.
We got home and I made sardines on toast for lunch and read the papers.
Jon bought a filing cabinet last week and he went down to the office to put it together. It was worse than a Rubik cube and took forever and he had to go and buy different screws. He finally left it and will have a look tomorrow. he said he felt like taking a hammer to it!!
I cooked a very nice apple and walnut cake but it wasn't ready for tea so we had a hot cross bun. I also cooked a very nice Asian, spicy beef pie which was soo good. We had the apple cake for pudding but I think it would be better as a cake to go with coffee or a cup of tea. Lots left o I have frozen it and will take it out as we need it.
We watched some TV after dinner and it had started to rain a lot and we have rain forecast for tomorrow so I think we will go to the cinema to see Salmon Fishing on the Yemen.
WEATHER
Cloudy with sunny spells and rain in the evening. 18 degrees
